‘Gateside’ is situated just along the road from the village of Hillswick, a small village in the Northmavine area of Shetland, on the westside of the voe of Ura Firth which the property overlooks.
Amenities in the village include a licensed community shop with fuel pumps, a medical centre, hotel & wildlife sanctuary. There is currently a primary school just along the road from the house. The nearby village of Ollaberry (7 miles), also has a local shop.
Further amenities can be found at Brae (approx. 11 miles), the main population centre in the North Mainland area, where there is a high school, swimming pool & leisure centre, health centre, care centre, dentist, further shopping including a Co-op mini supermarket, garage services and various social and recreational activities.

The Croft

Property location
To locate the property, drive north from Brae towards Hillswick, passing through Urafirth. Follow the road around the head of Ura Firth Voe and past the local primary school on the left. ‘Gateside’ is on the right hand side of the road a short distance after the school, immediately opposite the local hall.
